Best policy is to unplug everything electrical that you can OR have them on super surge protectors....we've never lost anything with this method....including our Shaw equipment. You can still read your Kindles or e-books without power - just keep them charged up - this way we don't have to sit around and look at each other...jijiji. Another option is to have your dominoes at the readyby Willie Bodrak - Colima - Comala
Wow, Jupiter!!!! What a photo and many thanks for posting it...... Here's hoping it just keeps steaming away and nothing more. Best,by Willie Bodrak - Colima - Comala
Are you aware that Puritan's Pride and IHerb will both ship to Mexico? I used to receive my orders delivered right to our front door in Comala most of the time....Otherwise I just went to the PO to get them - very easy. Just be aware that the packages cannot weigh over 2 kilos for each shipment. It took about 4 wks to receive an order. Good luck!!!by Willie Bodrak - Colima - Comala

Sorry - haven't ever heard of either fruit but I am very curious about what you called an upscale food market. Where is it & what is it called? Maybe try printing off a photo of the tree as well as the fruite from google & take to a local vivero or two. Thx.by Willie Bodrak - Colima - Comala
Have you tried any of the real estate offices in Colima? Google "bienes raices en colima"...a number of them also handle rentals....you will find that Colima is warmer in the summer than Comala, Nogueras, etc. Some of the people at the U might be able to help point you to some places. Buena suerte! Willieby Willie Bodrak - Colima - Comala

We have just returned from the Zentralia Shopping Center & are just stuffed from having eaten at.........drum roll........JOHNNY ROCKET'S. The same menu, if my memory serves me right, as NOB & unfortunately similar or higher pricing....plus the one thing that ticked me off, was that they added the propina to the bill before presenting it. They do make the dining there a fun experieby Willie Bodrak - Colima - Comala

And I obviously made a BIG boo-boo.......the 2nd series started in Mar - not Apr. Hope you get to attend at least one of these presentations.by Willie Bodrak - Colima - Comala
You may want to hurry because unless they get more business soon or have very deep pockets, you might miss the place. I really hope they make it, as it is a nice addition to the places to go at night. Just wish their prices were more reasonable! Oh, it wasn't just a run-of-the-mill wine but the guys didn't like it as well as some less expensive offerings around town, at La Chepa espeby Willie Bodrak - Colima - Comala
Last night after dinner, we went to the new Hacienda del Gobernador for an adult beverage and to have a look around. We arrived about 9:30 pm and were the only people there besides the owner and 2 employees for the entire time there. It is lovely BUT quite expensive!!! The guys ordered a glass of wine each and the price was $100 mx ea......my Bailey's was $50 mx....they were served with 2by Willie Bodrak - Colima - Comala

I just picked up the Feb. issue of this magazine today & there is a nice article about Colima......they didn't cover a lot of places but enough to pique the interest of, hopefully, a lot of travellers. It is issue #420.by Willie Bodrak - Colima - Comala
We have just attended opening of the new season of the U de C Ballet Folklorico here in Colima and cannot tell you how much we enjoyed it!!! As professional as anything you will ever witness in the field of dance. Here is the link for information: They must have thousands of DOLLARS in sets and wardrobe. The dancers smiled all the time & it appeared they truly enjoyed what they wereby Willie Bodrak - Colima - Comala
He's the only one that we found out about and were pleased so felt no need to search further. Perhaps Jupiter might know of someone else and will respond.by Willie Bodrak - Colima - Comala
My husband recently had a cataract removed and lens implanted by Dr. Ruben Anaya at Clinica de Ojos...314 6655. While he isn't fluent in English he does speak some and several on the staff there (large) speak English. Several people we know have also had him perform Lasik corrective surgery with great results. While not cheap, way less than NOB and supposedly one of the best in the area.by Willie Bodrak - Colima - Comala
We spent a lot of time at this wonderful B & B, with Jupiter & Mara- the last time being 73 days before we moved to Comala. They were very gracious about accepting us with our pets and we were always very careful to clean up after them so others might have a chance to travel with their "extended" family. We always highly reccommend Casa Alvarada!! You won't be sorry.by Willie Bodrak - Colima - Comala
We were up there a couple of weeks ago and they are open......at that time they didn't have the whole beans that we buy. Maybe Jupiter will have a phone number for them......you can contact him at Casa Alvarada B & B. He also takes tours up there, so will know what's going on. Good luck! Willieby Willie Bodrak - Colima - Comala
There is also City Club - like a Sam's Club....La Marina Dept store-2 locations, FAMSA, Coppell, plus lots of small businesses specializing in home decor & furniture. Good luck. Willieby Willie Bodrak - Colima - Comala
We can attest to Jupiter & Mara's B & B, having stayed there 73 days in one year!!! The last time was for about 2 mos with our 2 dog & fat cat. You cannot ask for nicer hosts!!! Their breakfasts were always delicous & filling. I did not mention their place earlier because you said you wanted to stay in Colima but Comala really isn't that far away...maybe 15 min. We have a friend that is going to use the Pet House at the end of Oct......I don't know if you can wait that long to find out how it is but I will be glad to pass along his experience. He has a standard poodle, not quite 2 yr.by Willie Bodrak - Colima - Comala
We have been using, on occasion, a very nice, good, English speaking vet in Colima. I am not sure if he does boarding but he might be able to steer you to a place. Very reasonably priced. That office will be Manzanillo. My husband took 3 of each, front & side.by Willie Bodrak - Colima - Comala
Good for you! Yes, you will need the photos when you get to Manzanillo. When we were there in July for my husbands visa renewal (FM3), ALL of the other clients there were of Asian descent. It took about 45 min, including the trip to the bank. You might have a longer wait by the time you get here, as you didn't say when you are coming down. I'm curious....what will be the official dby Willie Bodrak - Colima - Comala
