Puerto to SJdP and back...

Can anyone comment on the bus one should take from Puerto Escondido to San Jose del Pacifico? ie: which bus and how much?

maybe. but i think an overnight to scdlc crossing at la mesilla, depending on volcano and needed info from fellow travelers heading north.

i definitely need info regarding both border crossing .i will inquire at puerto and oaxaca for tapachula and la mesilla. better check volcano status and experience with boats for la union to nicaragua, optosi?

Drift is back! What border are you heading to? Just back from 3 weeks in Indo visiting my son. The waves were insanely good,my son and his two friends were almost surfed out, which I have never seen. Proces cheap, but the entire place was polluted beyond beleif, except the very southern tip of Bali. They all agree they like Puerto better, not so much the waves, but the food and transport.

puerto can be dirty too especially when the wind blows west.

nica generally clean.

puerto food great. taxis a bargain, long distance buses cheap, as is airfare back and forth to d.f. but don't try to fly to nica or elsewhere from there. cheaper to fly to fll then mga.
