Calm waters due to its southern exposure make Playa Carrizalillo a fine beach for swimming and snorkeling. To get there, go to the Rinconada and turn off at 15°51.703'N 97°4.673'W onto the walkway.

The trail down the hillside has been replaced by steps, 167 of them, seen in the photos. The GPS location of the beach is 15°51.585'N 97°4.726'W.

In 2013, Bill Holman donated a railing for the steps on behalf of his wife who worried about Bill's climb down the steps to take his swim at the beach. See Photos.
