Playa Marinero, a 200-meter long beach, is located between Playa Principal and Playa Zicatela. Convenient to downtown Puerto Escondido, Marinero is a favorite swimming beach and suitable for surfers not yet ready for the perils of Playa Zicatela. Also a nice spot to watch the sunset. Brad's Split Coconut, the popular watering hole and eatery, is located on Playa Marinero. This is where the annual Puerto Escondido Blue's Festival takes place January to March.
