The Roseate Spoonbill is a resident bird found in the Gulf Coast region of the United States, the Caribbean, Mexico, Central America and South America. It has a wingspan of 120-130 cm (47-51 inches). It nests in trees near bodies of water in colonies, building large nests of twigs and grass. It feeds on small fish and crustaceans that it finds in shallow freshwater or salt water. |
