To get to Playa Tecuán, exit Hwy 200 at the km 33 marker and follow the paved road for about 6 miles. The beach and lagoon are good for bird-watching, fishing and hiking (with insect repellant). The beach has some good surfing breaks--swimmers use caution. I was unable to visit the beach on my last visit to the area due to a movie that was being filmed at the hotel.
