can anyone tell me how to get to Gabinete Radiologico. Its off Carretera Pochutla Pte Angel, Km 1.5. I will be coming in from Huatulco. Many thanks.by Mina - Puerto Angel
Other than bootleg gas at a premium there is no gas. Cash is getting short or in some cases non existent. Bring what you think you will need in pesos. Some places take credit cards but not sure about Zipo. Various other shortages but smaller vehicles can bring stuff in on "back" roads. Normally you need to bring a rental car back with the same amount of gas. Check this at the airport. Atby Mina - Zipolite - Mazunte - Agustinillo - Ventanilla
Check out San Agustinillo. One of our favorites. Beach cabins as well as upscale suites. Great restaurants.by Mina - Zipolite - Mazunte - Agustinillo - Ventanilla

There was a post somewhere that had the addresses but for the life of me I cannot find it. Try asking at a hotel lobby on the Zocolo. The office is not far from there.by Mina - City of Oaxaca

Try Maria's restaurant in the 20 November market for breakfast. Greta people, great food and well priced. The coffe is Oaxacan and served ina bowl with a semi sweet roll, Oaxacan style. On the Zocolo, La Primevera is excellent as well. Our favorite hang out in the afternoons. Try contacting Alvin Starkman too. He is a fountain of Oaxacan information.by Mina - City of Oaxaca
Try any upolstery shop in Puerto or La Crucecita. You can buy the foam or have the items made.by Mina - Puerto Angel

Probably about 1/2 to 40 minutes an hour or so. The highway from PE tp Puerto Angel is pretty flat. The long part of the driive in terms of time is from Puerto Angel to La Crucecita. There is a crocodile preserve just as you enter either Maxunte or San Agustinillo. About 40 p each. You probably do both the croc and turtles and still have lots of beach time. Another option would be to stay at a beby Mina - Zipolite - Mazunte - Agustinillo - Ventanilla
Oh my. So many choices. San Agustinillo, Puerto Angle, Santa Cruz de Huatulco, La Entrega, El Maguay to name a few. By boat Playa La India is beautiful but no services. La Bocana, at the far end of Huatulco is beautiful but the surf can be nasty. Puerto Angle offers a beautiful view with 2 lovely beaches and the services you are looking for.by Mina - Zipolite - Mazunte - Agustinillo - Ventanilla

Stew, what Pedro is reporting is on all major news sites. When visiting a foreign country one should be aware of local issues. Unfortunately there is narco activity in Huatulco and in most parts of Mexico. Oh yes, in the US of A and Canada too. Where i live there is more narco activity than in Huatulco. My wife and i feel safer in Huatulco than we do at home. I believe if you stay "on the stby Mina - Off-Topic Forum
That Magic Jack sounds like the answer to ditching Ma Bell!! Thanks RT.by Mina - Off-Topic Forum
We use Skype while in Mexico. The only problem is when we don't have true high speed. With true high speed its fine. Even if you can program 2 Magic Jacks you still need a phone line in Mexico or access to one don't you? Friends of ours travel around the States for a few months and swear by Magic Jack.by Mina - Off-Topic Forum
Oaxaca has been a quiet site on TZ and TA. Not sure of any other forums. There are anumber of past posts on TA. Alvin Starkman, owner of a B&B in Oaxaca, puts out a lot of great info. There is a separate link on TZ for past posts as well. Would be nice to see a bit more chatter here but i guess many folks do the hop from HUX or PE fro a few days.
