bus to barra de navidad/melaque from puerto vallarta

We(4 seniors) are spending 2 or maybe 3 nights in Old Town and then bussing it down to Barra/Melaque. Should I book the bus in advance or wait until we get there. January 25th is our tentative date to bus down. which bus line is the best? Thanks

With 4 people I would make arrangements ahead of time. If someone could put in the web sites for the bus lines it would help.

I personally would wait the week of, you never know whats happens on Highway 200, I have always bought the day before and have never had problems.

Other options you have is getting an Uber or hire a driver, it will cost abit more but you will travel time is about half . Check on the Melaque site for people that will drive you. Buen Viaje.

Wait until you get to PV. On your first morning there, find the Primera Plus stop in old town (located at Venustiano Carranza 393). They open at 10 am (sometimes a bit later...hey, it's Mexico!). Purchase your tickets there.
