Cuaxiote a little too expensive to visit too often. But another new one is up by the donut shop. First left before and 3 doors or so in is Barbacoa de Reyes. They feature lamb cooked in the ground 7 hours. Ostensibly a birria place. I took a picture of the menu but I’m too dumb to post it.by Comalian - Colima - Comala

Thanks, I am looking too for a good dentist so thanks for the recommendation. He is located in the Hospital ‘tho and I avoid hospitals like the plague (ok, bad play on words sorry). His work ethic is sensational, can you believe he rode his bicycle from Colima to Comala and back. It’s not really a bird it’s a cicida (sp). Just beforethe rains theate often heard as a long deep screeming whistle. As a precursor to rain they picked up the appellation of Rainbird. Yolanda how is your dog doing? Causes of aggression are many. Lack of confidence, lack of exercise, health problems, isolation, being tied up and not allowed to be part of the family as well, of course, poor breeding. Obviously if not rectified they become a danger, especially to young children. As well you can be open to a law suit if someone is harmed. The theory is they’re protecting the aged as that group is the most susceptible. However if they have any brains at all they make the first couple of hours after opening limited to those same seniors. Happened to an acquaintance of ours yesterday at the Sears in Zentralia. Home Depot, well no words for their stupidity. In Jalisco rumor has it some Walmarts don’t allow seniors period. I gby Comalian - Colima - Comala

Bob, as you no doubt know there are two reasons for dogs to be aggressive. One is fear and the other will bite. My thought would be to carry two things. First a walking cane/stick. That and faking to pick up a rock will send the first variety into a flight response. The second thing I would carry is what some refer incorrectly to as a taser. Not optimistic about an answer since few seem to read this Comala site but hoping. Did not get a chance to check the one in Villa. However I did learn that there is/was one every Monday in barrio la Trinidad. Unfortunately they have not been in business since Covid19. Yes, been here about a year. From Guadalajara area. Quite different here, can’t find things like a mercado and professionals such as plumbers electricians that are good near impossible to find... and no tianguis with freshfarm produce ..... it all takes time, reearch and exploration.
