Campus Puerto Escondido
Our campus is one block from the beach and located in the heart of Puerto Escondido.
The classes are held in our private tropical garden and they are comfortable and conducive to learning. The campus has its own coffee shop, lecture area, small library, student dormitories, kitchen, laundry room and areas for relaxing. We provide an opportunity for a bilingual and multicultural exchange that helps to develop a social conscience and respect for the environment, while creating a unique experience in the life of each participant. Our teachers are university graduates, experienced and native speakers of the language.
They are trained by our institute to give students personal attention to maximize the potential of each person.

Cultural Program & Tours
In addition to Spanish courses the school organizes cultural and athletic activities for the students. Our weekly program provides a great opportunity to learn more about Mexican culture and, above all, take a little break from studying. The goal is to practice the language while having fun. All activities are optional and are included in the course.
The weekly program
- Spanish lessons from Monday to Friday
- Welcome orientation for new students every Monday
- Volunteer orientation
- Additional activities: learn to dance salsa, workshops, cook Mexican food, language exchange, presentations about prehispanic cultures, Aztec dance, Mexican fiestas, volleyball and much more
- Extra activities such as surfing, sport fishing, scuba diving and yoga can be booked through our school office
Excursions
Every Saturday the school organizes an excursion to the surrounding areas of Puerto Escondido within a 1-2 hour drive from the school. We visit beaches, lagoons, coffee plantations, hot springs and waterfalls. On these tours students can try kayaking, bird-watching, hiking, bicycling or horseback-riding. We also offer the opportunity for world-class sport fishing. During these trips you may also see dolphins and sea turtles. If the students are interested in surfing we can arrange tours to the beautiful and secluded surf spots of the Oaxacan coastline.
On certain weekends the school organizes 2 or 3 day excursions to cities and destinations such as Oaxaca City, Acapulco, Playa Ventura, Mexico City, San José del Pacifico, Salina Cruz or San Cristobal de las Casas.
Staying in the School Residence
Ideal for travelers and volunteer workers
Our school residence gives our students an opportunity to meet other travelers and to share the experience with others. We offer private and shared rooms with private bathrooms. The residence has a shared kitchen where the students can cook and chat after classes. The advantage of this housing type is that the rooms are situated close to the Spanish classes, the beach and all the services. The residence is a comfortable and secure option for your stay in Puerto Escondido.
Living with a Mexican family
Ideal for cultural immersion and the practice of Spanish
By choosing to stay with a local family our students have a great opportunity to learn more about the Mexican culture and lifestyle as well as practice the language. In families you are constantly in contact with Mexican people, which enables a better understanding of the society. Our school selects the families carefully according to the following criteria: family unity, friendliness and warmth, security, distance to school, comfort and cleanliness.
Renting a House
Recommended for people looking for luxury in Puerto Escondido
According to our student's desire, we also provide our students with information about other types of housing including: beach hotels, rental apartments and deluxe houses next to the beach with luxurious amenities, such as Internet, TV, swimming pool and cleaning service. These options are ideal for families or couples who want to stay within a short distance from the school but prefer space and privacy.
Volunteer Experience
Volunteer work at Experiencia has a beneficial impact on the surrounding areas and the community. With 36 years of educational experience, we can integrate the philosophy of social welfare with efficient learning. Our foreign students can effectively provide their knowledge and efforts to the local projects while practicing the language and working together with local people. Experiencia Puerto Escondido is committed to helping social organizations and conservation efforts through donations and by networking volunteers with people in need.
The idea is to support different projects in Mexico as well as guide the students so that they can have an unforgettable experience with benefits in the future.
