I soo luv Zipo and nudism on the beach,BUT call me old fashioned, I want to see dressed people at the restos......strut your fashion folks !by liesma - Zipolite - Mazunte - Agustinillo - Ventanilla
Zipolite has a very meager selection of groceries, fruits / veggies and booze. Basically 2 small stores for the canned and dry gods and one veggie and fruit place that often has wilted and overripe stuff ! I purchase my beer from the Corona "deposito " at the far east end of the main paved street...by the veggie place. When you first purchase you pay for the bottle and liquid and thenby liesma - Zipolite - Mazunte - Agustinillo - Ventanilla
These 2 towns are approx. 3 kilometers apart, but differ in that Puerto Angel was and is a fishing village / town and caters mostly to Mexicans, many who come in for a day on large tour buses on the weekend. They spend their time sitting at the Playa Panteon beachfront restos ( overpriced ) and the kids play in the usually calm waters. There is the main municipal beach which is mainly for the manby liesma - Zipolite - Mazunte - Agustinillo - Ventanilla

This is what I found out...in the past few weeks, about ATMS between HUX airport and San Agustinillo. HUX airport : the one...independent one... ( not attached to any particular bank as far as I could tell )... as you are about to exit arrivals, would not take either of my bank cards ( Canadian ) : as I entered the check in for arrivals buildby liesma - Zipolite - Mazunte - Agustinillo - Ventanilla
I appolohize, Frijole. I misread your post and thought you were talking about Huatulco ie La Crucecita. My bad ! Thanx for the info re smaller bills from Santander.by liesma - Zipolite - Mazunte - Agustinillo - Ventanilla
Thank You Frijole for your response even though this trip I will be going in the other direction, ie Puerto Angel , Zipolite, San Agustinillo. Yes I have always found AMEX to be problematic outside of the US...even in Canada it is not accepted by everyone.by liesma - Zipolite - Mazunte - Agustinillo - Ventanilla
I am looking for info on ATM's in the HUX airport. Can anyone tell me how many there are and which ones ? Have you ever heard of issues of them running out of cash, freezing accounts or fraud ? I am flying directly into HUX from another country and need to pay for accomodations in cash. I do not want to change a lot on money outside of Mexico due to poor rates but also do not want to go iby liesma - Puerto Angel

I noticed there seemed to be a lot of days with red flags last month, both at Zipolite and San Agustinillo. Am I correct in assuming this happened at Zipolite ? Any particular part of the beach that is the worst for currents ?by liesma - Zipolite - Mazunte - Agustinillo - Ventanilla
Muchas Gracias for the beach info. How can we contact you if we want to try and talk you into a trip to this playa ? We plan to be there mid Feb.by liesma - Puerto Angel
Thanx for the noise report. My only concern is night time noise as I luv my sleep...roosters do not bother me...only hate to hear dogs being beaten or attacked by other dogs . We have never been to Playa Tijera...years ago walked to Estacahuite from P. Angel , but the last years we have been frequenting La Boquilla..taking a cab or just the camioneta and then walk the 3 or so kilometers toby liesma - Puerto Angel
Thank You for the great info on the public transportation from Pochutla and all the way to Zipo and onward. It was very confusing the first couple of times we went there years ago...but we did finally get it figured out. Best advice as you said...just hop on whatever is going your way. At what time of day do they stop and start working on that Puerto Angel streach of road ? I will be stayiby liesma - Puerto Angel
Does anyone have recent knowledge about the saftey ( re robberies ) of walking the road between Zipolite and Puerto Angel and vice versa ? The reports on this site are from quite a few years ago. A year ago we noticed how built up with houses this road had become ( also Zipolite has changed a lot ... but not Puerto Angel ?... could never understand that ? ) We did not feel uncomfortable at allby liesma - Zipolite - Mazunte - Agustinillo - Ventanilla
Wow Johnzap...are you colaborating with my spouse? LOL Being from a poor north eastern European country he would never take a taxi unless unavoidable. But unfortunately he does not like pizza and pasta ! As we stay for more than a couple of weeks, we rent a place with a cocina and cook and eat all those foods that are relatively tasteless and more expensive in the northern countries We haveby liesma - Puerto Angel
