A friend in San Jose Pacifico says the blockage is in week three. Limited groceries. Torrential rains. He's forced to travel 35km on 175 to Miahuatlan for groceries and ATM. Says he counted 15+ landslides down the hill, boulders, telegraph poles, trees, hillside slip outs and more. Who remembers the Alarma newspaper? No guesswork with those boys. They documented everything with 35mm cameras back in the day starting in 1963. If it bleeds it leads. It was like a coroners report mixed with scantily cladΒ women. A million copies sold each week. It made vulgar porn Hustler magazine look like an Archie comic book in comparison. I was there a few weeks ago arriving from Lake Nicaragua's Ometepe Island via collectivo cab from San Jorge. San Juan del Sur is a dirty, overpriced town you can completely walk in half a day. The market was one square block, a filthy stinking scene. If your not driving much, take a cab to zipo. Outside the airport a reputable cab service with posted rates will drop you off and later return for the ride home. Inside the airport the rates are ridiculous, walk five minutes. Zipo is 450 pesos, a screaming deal. No car to hassle with. Take the cab. Reserve with an email or phone call.by por Pedro - Zipolite - Mazunte - Agustinillo - Ventanilla
