Part of the problem may be is that new Shaw receiver boxes now try to identify through Shaw dishes. If you have an old dish or a Universal dish (not Shaw) then the updates to the box will not happen and you are limited to a much smaller range of stations. The solution is to find someone with a newer Shaw dish, hook your box up to it and then reregister so that your box now thinks it is connectby bobm - La Manzanilla - Tenacatita - Boca de Iguanas
Very much agreed. If America was aware of how the rest of the world perceives Trump and by extension, Americans, they would be embarrassed by their unholy support of an obviously amoral self aggrandizing megalomaniac with a total lack of humanistic values or empathy for others.by bobm - Off-Topic Forum
The last couple of visits to La Manzanilla and Figaro's, Pino has not been there. And all of his sculptures have been removed (except the great built in concrete stuff). Staff said there is some kind of trouble with administration? Can anyone clarify what is happening and if Pino will remain as the Italian chef especial, as well as a source of good art and cheer?by bobm - La Manzanilla - Tenacatita - Boca de Iguanas
Just spent 4 days in Sec Tac area for an Audi National Convention. Traffic absolutely horrible now. Took 2 hours to go from Seattle to Tacoma on the 405... And no alternatives as 5 under construction. Californians that moved from SoCal to Seattle to get away from congestion now moving to Spokane and Coeur D'Lane for same reasons. Pikes Market still great but a real zoo on weekends.by bobm - Off-Topic Forum
In Manzanillo we have used a great young contractor/architect named Angel Briseno Ramirez. He does larger projects like condo rebuilds, but has great CAD skills (apple based) and done some great cabinetry for us. Prices were very fair as well. Email is angelbriseno27@yahoo.com.by bobm - La Manzanilla - Tenacatita - Boca de Iguanas
I was told by the developers at Alta Zona (the new golf course and recreation development north of Liverpool shopping centre) that all of Colima city was past the 50 km area where Trusts are required.by bobm - Colima - Comala
It is a pretty nice drive, road is always being improved, new bridges, about 3 1/2 hours, not recommended for night time as parts are narrow, twisty, no shoulders, bus is good alternative, try to get the better line with fewer stops, will take longer.by bobm - Colima - Comala
If ever there was a human being (?) deserving of being trashed it is the disgusting Trumphf. (and I am both US and Canadian citizen)by bobm - Off-Topic Forum
Yes, we just had a great lunch there on Thursday. Best pasta, this part of Mexico, with great local shrimp.by bobm - La Manzanilla - Tenacatita - Boca de Iguanas
For special five star treat try the Governors Palace, about four blocks now from the main zocalo, really great rooms and service. Owned by a fellow from Montreal, also quite a good chef, meals by appointment.by bobm - Colima - Comala
There are several dentists used by Canadians and Americans in Manzanillo, quite good, and used by retired Canadian dentists. Andre Camancho is one right across from Sorianna in the Galaria building. Also a young German/Mexican lady dentist down by Crusaro on Las Brisas. Check the Manzanillo site for more info.by bobm - La Manzanilla - Tenacatita - Boca de Iguanas
Answering my own query, Figaros reopened on 15th, was open with great success for the Artwalk, and today we had great seafood pastas and Calamari potato fries appetizer. There is a new canopy roof that is hurricane designed, a new bar with "Patricia" figurehead above (a rather stern and forceful lady seeming to push a lot of heavy air), and some good Italian wines. And of course Pinoby bobm - La Manzanilla - Tenacatita - Boca de Iguanas
Has Figaro's reopened? Haven't heard from Pino lately.by bobm - La Manzanilla - Tenacatita - Boca de Iguanas
At least the new Canadian leader believes in democracy, our planet having a future, and treating all citizens fairly, unlike the previous money and oil biased control freak.by bobm - Off-Topic Forum

We went to this last Feb. and it was fantastic event, over 1000 horses and riders, many with magnificent dancing (the horses) skills. We stayed at the Cebello Best Western downtown (8 of us) and watched from our rooms on the second floor balconies. Between groups of about 50 horses/cowboys there were a big variety of bands, Mexican folk, to rock and roll. The fascinating event is the rodeo liby bobm - Colima - Comala
Hey, wife and I are in our 60's, and have twice been carded in O'Hare airport while connecting flights and seeking a light alcohol refreshment. It seems that the Illinois law suits have determined that carding young appearing people is discrimanatory and targeted enforcement, thus discrimination. So the solution is to card everyone. My wife felt 40 years younger, for a few seconds anby bobm - Off-Topic Forum
But it was a cute video! Just like like dealing with Canadian (Calgary) development permit department. Though I never was so efficient.by bobm - Off-Topic Forum
Spring is very late in Alberta land, first night above freezing finally last night. Nearly 15C today and sunny. Still a two foot drift of white S**t on north side of house. At least the federal election is getting interesting. Go Jack. Bob M.by bobm - Off-Topic Forum
