It is no longer the Hotel Ceballos. It is now the Hotel Concierge Plaza. It was sold over the summer, all the staff have been replaced too. However all the restaurants in the portales were open on the square last week when I was there. Charco de la Higuera also open, gel, temp checks and spaced tables along with waiters in masks.

Yeah, that was a typo by me. The cabalgata nocturna is on Friday 9th Feb. The Ceballos is full btw.

Don't annoy them, cane toads secrete a milky substance which is noxious and can do your pets a nasty. Other more used scientific name for them is Bufo marinus. They were another great idea (NOT!) import to Australia alongside rabbits!

Well this is a board for the Barra, Melaque and Cihuatlan area, not Los Altos. So the news of someone being killed half a day away is not really local.

You do know that is about 9 hours of travel from here don't you? Why doesn't everyone report all the violent crime in Mexico City, they are almost the same distance in terms of time.

Last I saw they still had a dozen or so federal police held. The 2 americans were CIA or some such organization here training local marines. They are more interested in other things now. It comes up as a small piece every week just to remind us, but nothing more. Plus as Carol says it wasn't here, it was a long way away.

Looks like Mossel Bay or Gansbai in South Africa. It is an awesome sight to see that kind of attack on the seals, shows just who is the boss in the sea.

Because I have been acting as translator and there has been enough wrong information thrown about. Also seeing as we offer immigration support and have been through similar proceedings with the whole ALN thing I know from first hand experience.

Not sure, I have only come into Mexico twice by vehicle. Once in Chetumal from Belize and once from Guatemala. Both times the entry was controlled by the military as well as immigration officers being present to check everyone.

He can't be deported until all criminal legal proceedings against him have been resolved, and then immigration would still have to decide if they want to or not. As for entering and leaving whilst there is a law suit against you, I am not sure, although if you are being ordered to report to the court every week or have an arrest warrant against you, then I would imagine you cannot just le

The reason Witchita can't be deported is because he still has penal charges hanging over him. Only once they are sorted out can he be deported (or not).

It is very easy. Drive to the airport and as you go in get in the left hand lane and it will take you to a barrier which has the parking lot right behind it. The parking lot is right in front of the terminal building. If your friend is coming in from within Mexico then the arrivals is on the left hand side of the building. Try Costa Kasiev above Blockbusters just before you leave old town on the road to Melaque. The small rooms cost about $250 - $300 pesos the last time I was there. I don't have a phone number but it is really easy to find. They have a big parking lot in front and someone is on the desk 24 hours a day.

Unfortunately I can't see there being a quick resolution to this. If the police are gasing diputados then they aren't going to be easily shifted.

I have a small piece of good news for anybody who owns land in Tenacatita. On some threads and forums there has been the piece of information going about that you only had 15 days to get a legal challenge in to the courts. This is not entirely true. I was speaking to my lawyer this morning and he said that it is 15 days for those who were there and were notified at the time of the eviction. Fo
