You won't believe what happened to witchita now!

Folks. I've got good and bad news. The good news is: I didn't lose IT!
The bad news is: The landlord did.

I am not writing this for any other reason than it is true, it is a factor of life and doing business and living for all in the area and it is true though I shall try to use my cynicism to some extent (is that OK Guvv).

Now, yes I rent. It is near Ava's and secluded and nice and I pay a good price for a year-round resident because it is almost ideally located for my needs and clean etc.

I used to have a nice Mexican family downstairs but a few weeks ago the family (owners) suddenly moved, spent a loada dough on the vacated downstairs blowing 2 windows on the south side and painting and scrubbing it. I live upstairs and there is a smaller unit with a muchacha and muchacho who attend U of G here and I have a very nice double unit. I have Telecable and internet;drinking water and as of today hot water that is paid for by the landlord. I control (not always) 2 outside lights and my electricity is only about 100 P am month with 2 ceiling fans and had electric (at source) hot water in the shower only. I pay for gas for my stove only. I pay 100 P for a land line that is blocked to cells and has 100 anytime minutes a month in Mexico. Life's a beach and I like it.

I got evicted today but it was very uncool. It almost got red hot dammit! It started on monday with no hot water, electrical problems and then the final straw was on tuesday. The dummy cut my gas off for his unplanned and likely illegal construction work and I had not had breakfast. Why didn't he tell me and why didn't he ask me for electricity for his construction upstairs and why this and why that?

The guy was running from me as he thought I was angry and he had no excuse. He's running into riches as a gringo milking trampa this guy. Owner brought the police here and I was locked in two days ago. I asked them to ask the landlord to meet me with his wife (the person who I pay the rent to (1) and who gave me the key(1)).

The guy decided to kick me out on my ass cause I was crazy again (I promised the truth and you're getting the truth) and I dont have a written contract. He showed up with police and I refused to open wide.

Yesterday, I waited for him to arrive and Olivia knocked. I asked if owner and esposa (i'm not going to let him in without his wife or and intimidating amigo present and, as always,Olivia) were there and when affirmed I opened the door with caution. There was the three adults and two policeman with four firearns, knives and bracelts. I closed the door and went in my room and went to Lago on my free netflix and stayed perfectly calm and sane except I posted about 50 times on tomzap yesterday but it's good therapy for me.

Holed up. Or is this a hold up? How long will I hole up in my legal digs? I'm NOT gonna phone the Queens cowboys this time that's for sure!!! Got lots of food.... Later Olivia came in and we had a disagreement so I asked them to come back and relaxed and posted. Earlier this morning the landlord had to come in with the plumber to check out my new boiler hot water and I asked him to not go through my bedroom anymore for the bathroom and to clean up the mess he left in a corner about 10 days ago. He did as I asked.

Olivia and Maria showed up for breakfast and just as we finished, a knock. It was Sr. Toribio, the Mayor. I like this guy. He is kind, polite, and proffesional. He takes no sides and listens and follows the law. He is the law. Owner summoned him to boot me. Owner told him to do it quick cause he can rent it December 1st for 7000 P to GRINGOS! Apparently Toribio rocked owners dreamboat by informing him of the legal process and that owner will need to follow the law to the letter. His honor also listened to my problems like tresspassing and stealing my electric, cable bills and other minor delitos and informed me that I am to be evicted on march 1st 2012 and could I please come to his office on Tuesday to sign a written contract reflecting this. Great. I've at least got the law on my side and it's decided, lots of time and casas should be starting to get cheap again. The landlord is shit outta luck for renting to the gringos for this year and I don't recommend anyone rent from Toro unless they want to be milked including him following you into the bedroonm trying desparatly to borrow a grand to buy an amplifier to help out the new gringo downstairs who cant get a strong signal on his mini laptop. I have the sick modem in my digs.

Oh, thank Gawd it's over and we can move on. Not a chance folks someone has lost face. It was a trampa and the law saw it for what it is and I was willing to drop it and move on but I wasn't given that opportunity again just yet. Someone was dam mad! It wasn't me and I know better than to insult a Mexican loudly and publicly but I carried on. I visited the boyz and they all had a good laugh. I walked to His Worship's office and took thirty seconds of his time to thank him and give him a quick message and returned home. Upon rounding the final bend, I espied the police there yet again and an alarm bell went off that had previously caused my door to close swiftly and I sauntered forth to see what's up now (only spit once guvv).

Whew it was my friend who's name escapes me but he's the best and a real cool kind cop. No problem, his partner is casually speaking witha neighbour and I haven't seen the guy since earlier this year and I really want to thank him and talk. So, we're back to great butt, there's a hitch. Someone can't let a sleeping dog lie. Toro decided he wanted to interrupt my conversation as he wanted to talk and I refuse to let anyone without a pistol or rifle interrupt me so I carried on. So did the interruptions so I said goodbye to my cop amigo and started for my house but a by now aggitated Toro is stomping and follows me toward my house, which is kinda hidde,n twice and I finally convince my policeman friend to escort me to my door and Toro decides to have me busted for mota a dentro and whips out his cell phone to call the Federalis (gotta be on speed dial). I smiled and made my exit. Is it over? Is pot legal? I really don't care!

After a few minutes in my home and a quick sos to His Honour, I went downstairs to continue the saga of my dull life and the new neigbours were out and asked me to sit. We chatted and I told them the entire sordid mess and then their friend started telling me about Napoleanic code and cops beating prisoners. well, I couldn't take it any longer. God I was carazy! the feelin came upon me like a tidal wave.

There is more to the story and this is a solemn warning that there are trampas who owe allegience only to their avarice and they will drop you in a new york second and for GAWD'S sake, get everything in frigging writing!!!

Oh yea. Olivia and Maria and her father were all just here while I was writing this short story and I beleive I have the entire truth now an that is that the cops ordered Toro to order me to talk outside when I was barricaded and they would just grab me the first time I raised my voice and it would not be over for a very long time. After all, I'm just a crazy gringo.

Please do not patronise taxi number 1 at Melaque jardin. He is incredibly grossero and has disrespected all women and me and should have his licence suspended and the driver is Toro's father. Toro owns the cab.

Bloodless, painles but there are injuries as usual. I bought 2 suitcases at a street sale and told vendor not to be surprised if I was spotted kicking said bags in the street later. It is a very slow morning with only one minor skirmish in a raid by a peace officer who did not enter when he convinced me to open, but promised he was not here to arrest me and he really wants to help. me. He forced trhe resignation of my first body guard and told me it would be best to go today as Toro will find the number of the Federalis sooner or later and I will be a Canadian busted in Mexico.

Why don't you do yourself a favor and go back to Canada? Do you really want to be in a Mexican jail again? You are obviously not cut out to live there. Of course, you may not be cut out to live anywhere but a mental hospital and if that is the case, I would think you would rather be in a Canadian one than a Mexican one.

A little unsolicited advice from an attorney....

Your first landlord you had issues with will now have a lot more credibility because you are having landlord problems AGAIN.

I would suggest you offer your current landlord double rent and make peace with him.

Does this sound familiar or what? Almost exactly a year ago he went from posting semi-normal sounding posts to a near replica rant like this blaming every one of his problems on his landlord.

I was thinking the same thing. It was like "where have I seen this before". Maybe Witchita needs to take special care, or a short period away from all landlords, around this time of year.

This is how it works when you have a bit of trouble in Mexico. Now we a driving on the highway. We can only drive until we run out of gas and then we are walking. We can only walk as far as untill our shoes wear out. Then we are barefoot but still on out feet. do you two idiots get the idea.

Only rats desert a sinking ship amigo. What are you? Do you think I rented this place and got this guy riled up on purpose? It was fine until your season came along and the guy started dreaming of gringo rich milk. I say frick him. I cannot move today, I paid, there are laws and if you want me out give me my rights which are my protection from getting royally screwed and my life turned upside down. Patience and the necessity to assert your right diplomatically is what is required and I seem to be grownig in those areas there. there was no problem, there is not a huge problem for me, there is a bigger problem for the other guy and the whole thing stinks when one has done nothing wrong and has been responsible and his liberty, which is harder to lose in Mexico legally than in Canada, is threatened by an illegal human rights abuse that exists in this community. As well as the right to liberty being stronger in Mexico, the landlord tenant laws seem to be simple ant the same as when I rented units in a 3 plex in Ontario. I wish I had the luxery of being able to run from every little obstacle one encounters in life.

It's cold in Canada. Why should I suffer? I have done nothing wrong.

What, me worry? Who says I have problems? There is nothing dishonorable about being evicted. It has happened to me before so a family member can move in and it's quite legal. I have evicted people by just asking them to go or tricking thme into thinking I had an order but I always gave them there full rights and notice. It is a serious offence here to force one out of a rented house. Why should it differ here? I am simply living here and paying for it and because another crook who isn't stupid enough as your incredible friend was and knows not to defy the Mayors order and stop harrassing me, who just now lied thru you as his original story was that I was an unwanted guest. That guy also didn't pay taxes or have the right to be doing business in Mexico and he broke criminal and civil law. Time will tell who has the credibility and I doubt that a lawyer will. I will not likely even be evicted if this goes as it should, I will enter into an agreement to vacate but on the laws terms, not on another criminal greedy bastard's terms. The fools are both landlords who made a whole lot of trouble for themselves with stupid hot heads.
