I think he said "I thought Canadians, who as residents pay 50 per cent of their income in taxes, had it bad"

And how was what I said wrong then?

Dante said "I paid 18% combined income tax last year here in Canada."

Probly only "morons" canΒ΄t see the difference.

Still, the only difference I see is the numbers 18% & 50%.

I love battles of wit with unarmed men.

ps: turn on your spell checker.

50% seems a bit high for a Canadian, unless your are Galen Weston or Jimmy Pattison, with non creative accountants. Personally, I pay pretty much sweet dick, and what I do pay, I get every fenig(peso) back. With all taxation in Canada, I can see maybe 30% taxation including non food items, entertainment, beer, booze at the LCB, the list goes on and on. Much of the taxation collected in this country is for medical, which by the way, is not exactly free, school, and usual services. All in all, we are pretty much similar to citizens of the US, unless the people to the south of us have no additional medical coverage, bad luck, and no creative accounting skills. US citizens certainly have many more excemptions. I think Canadian citizens MUST report ALL worldwide earnings, and holdings. I earn zero, so I escape all that falldera,,,, and sleep like a baby.

Roman, I thought you were from canada and knew how bad the average canadian citizen gets raped by our government!
It's the same in canada and the us, if you make big money you keep it and the let the soon to be obsolete middle class pay the taxes!!!!

I have never been sexually assaulted by any one or any entity but I do not like you free and easy use of the word 'RAPE' sir. Please look before you leap. Thank you.

Romp on down Reggie cause you, like most Canadians, spend about 51% of your income (and possibly whether you declare all yur income or not) on taxes PERIOD (Who was that man?)

If you are referring to the OLD German currency (before the EURO), that would be Pfennig (or "penny") en inglese , Reggie.
