Weather and Flight Plan
The Flight
I set a direct course to Georgetown and climbed to 5500 feet. As we approached San Antonio, I called approach and requested flight following. That is a procedure where the controller follows our progress on radar and announces any potentially conflicting traffic. We crossed over San Antonio and Randolf Air Force Base and then got handed off to Austin Approach and finally Georgetown Tower. It was a routine flight.
Arriving at Georgetown, it was quite chilly and out came the coats again. Sigh.
Here is a youtube video of the landing at Georgetown.
