The Executive Branch gets far too much credit (or blame). Most of the "stuff" happens in Congress (the Legislative Branch). Blindly arguing for either party shows...errrr, how do I put it nicely...well I can't put it nicely. The game is rigged folks. Both parites are owned by K Street. Man, I just sounded like an Occupier...I'm not...I just know how DC really works (aby Gri-lango - Off-Topic Forum
A very good joke for those that get the famous Mexican "doble sentido" or "albur." Que es la diferencia entre el chile pequin y el chile ancho? -El chile pequin pica rico. -El chile ancho lastima!by Gri-lango - Off-Topic Forum
Ouch Buzzard...I am a Gen X-er. I think X-ers fair relatively well compared to the Baby Boomers and Echo Boomers (aka Gen Y or Gen Next). Being wedged between these two groups...there is a lot to be disillusioned about!!! That's my best tongue in cheek comeback...yeah a bit weak, I know. Kidding aside...what's the point being made about GenXer's? While I find the WaPo article aby Gri-lango - Off-Topic Forum
Both R's and D's are crap. C'mon folks, do y'all really buy into the BS that politicians create jobs in the private sector? Politicians repay favors to special interest groups. They ear mark funds for their friends, they give themselves raises, have premium health care, travel first class...and on, and on and on. A record level of $$$ was reached this election cycle. Dry House, I am not confused about Ejido, escrituras, and Mexican property rights (soy nacionalizado y conozco muy bien mis derechos). I am confused over the claims that there were foreigners with "escrituras federales" on Ejido land being run out of their supposedly leagal properties by the military (that turned out to be estatal no federal). No need to be conscending, and I reby Gri-lango - La Manzanilla - Tenacatita - Boca de Iguanas
I tried posting before, but obviosly it did not get past the moderator...not sure why. Tenacatita is Ejido land...how can there be foreigners with "escrituras federales?"by Gri-lango - La Manzanilla - Tenacatita - Boca de Iguanas
delmar, Economists are great at talking about what happened in the past, not vey good about predicting the future. All Economic models and formulas rely heavily on the assumption that all choices are made "rationally." That assumption breaks down quickly in today's "real world." And thank you PB and Buzzard for the back up info.by Gri-lango - Off-Topic Forum
They got me good with this robbery...my external HD (back up files) was in the briefcase because I just got back from a trip and never unpacked it.I lost 12 years of work files...sucks big time. I enjoy the info PB, but it has not swayed to think the US is on the right track yet. The Chenney Admin...er...the Bush admin was very scary...Obama has not swayed me to think we are any better off asby Gri-lango - Off-Topic Forum
Hey, PB, I was silent for a few days because my laptop was stolen on Thursday. I am not sure why I react to Pelosi and Palin so vehemently. I dislike them equally, not comparing them to each other. I get the same reaction with Steele and Kaine when they are spinning their partisan webs (or preparing for the billions in campaign expenditures). Why do you like Pelosi and dislike Palin? I seby Gri-lango - Off-Topic Forum
I always enjoy reading your posts PB. I learn some, argue some, but always enjoy the read. I am tired of politics (both US and Mex), but sadly it is part of the fabric of our lives. The Pelosi's and Palin's of the world make my stomach turn. I only named them as they seem to be the lightning rods for each side, but my list is far longer. I would like to see the pinche politicos useby Gri-lango - Off-Topic Forum

Actually...I agree with your assesment...the number one issue is the world is over populated. The rest can be debated forever, and there is no single right answer. How does the saying go? Can appease some of the people some of the time...but never all the people all the time. Something like that. Each party (Dems and Reps) will follow thier own ideology. The Reps would fight Obama (and Deby Gri-lango - Off-Topic Forum

A "protectionist" scheme in a competitive Global economy is complete economic suicide. The "huge incentive" strategy boils down to taxpayers subsidizing industries that cannot compete in the Global economy, artificially raising the price of labor (L), and ultimately creating bubbles that burst once consumers seek out cheaper substitutes. Any one bother reading the bill? FTR; my opinion is that it is a populist, reactionary measure, crafted by politicians to jockey for votes in November. It certainly highlights a need to review and overhaul current Fed Immigration policy. The bill addresses the 4th amendment issues quite thoroughly, the authors were quite sound in their legal approach. I doubt any Constitutional challenges wilby Gri-lango - Off-Topic Forum

I completely disagree with any censorship by Tom and/or the moderator. Even this off topic section is a bit awkward for my tastes. If Info's posts are not of interest, why read them? Why not read what you want to read, and skip over the posts you don't like? There are certain posters I never read, others I always read.
