puerto can be dirty too especially when the wind blows west. nica generally clean. puerto food great. taxis a bargain, long distance buses cheap, as is airfare back and forth to d.f. but don't try to fly to nica or elsewhere from there. cheaper to fly to fll then mga.by driftplastic - San José del Pacifico

i have been assured of van and bus service from pochutla. recent torrential 2/12/18 assure hongos and muddy, bumpy roads. do this in daylight.by driftplastic - San José del Pacifico

lots of signs for rentals in puerto, center, asked trish about staying here next winter, but she can't be away from her estate for too long and i think she needs to be available for babysitting gigs with grandkids remember everything that happens at grandmommy's hpuse, stays at grandmommy's house.by driftplastic - San José del Pacifico

at the catedral, ran into gringo oldster, touring oaxaca, out of somewhere asked me about san jose del pacifico and i told him i have passed through but never stayed. he got my puerto mushroom experience and wished him luck. we ran into him late at the palacio nacional museum while viewing diego riveria murals and a mixtec temporary exhibit. excellent. worth a revisit. it is amazing nancykpby driftplastic - San José del Pacifico
