Mattress puchase

We need to buy a queen-size mattress and bed frame and prefer not to shop at big-box stores. Any suggestions? Gracias in advance.

I am and we buy our mattresses and appliances from Casa Bonita. As you said they are great. We've rented a house in Oaxaca City and we're shopping for a queen-size bed and mattress but decided to use one of those kits to make two twins into a king.
