Raid on Acapulco prison this morning

Federal Police went to the Acapulco prison (Cereso) this morning to transfer 60 prisoners to maximum security facilities. While there they confiscated two sacks of marijuana, 100 fighting cocks, 2 peacocks, and 19 working ladies who were found in different cells. Plus 6 lady prisoners living in the men's section of the prison.

Reminds me of the time I was in the Tijuana jail in the 60s.

I though prostitution was not illegal. Why were they in prison¿

I heard a few months ago that 'living off the avails' of prostitution and that advertising partner 'rentals' is now illegal in Mexico or Jalisco. It was likely from Mexican news on telecable.
