We lost 11 days on the day in 1752 when we shifted from The Julian Calendar to The Gregorian Calendar. We’ve been using The Gregorian Calendar from 1752-2020. What happened to those 11 days we lost?
Here’s the math:
2020years - 1752years = 268 years
268years x 11days = 2948 days
2948days ⟨÷⟩ 365days = 8 years
2020years - 8years = the year 2012
According to The Gregorian Calendar it’s is technically “2020” but following The Julian Calendar it’s literally “2012”.
