How they found the time to score that much more I don't know. We gave up and left early

Nutty finish to be sure. Not a fan of NFL overtime rules...much prefer CFL (and NCAA) OT rules that give each team a possession until someone outscores the other team...coin toss (won by Hawks) essentially decided the winner today. I'm happy that Seattle won, but not the way they won...

Hey BIG shot D&D. How many points did you want to give me for a SEA SLUG win. No way, after today's performance, will they win the Super Bowl.

Seriously, big shot.

Seahawks will do it twice in a row. Not too many teams can boast about the Superbowl, back to back, if any?

Points people, points. I'll take all bets, how many points are you SEA CHICKEN fans going to give me?

Put your money where your mouth is.

Nomas it sounds to me like you expect the Hawks to win if you didn't you woula be offering points to all takers instead of asking for points.

romp, the only other team to win back to back sb championships were the patriots , i think in 92-93 , should be a interesting game
Re: Seahawks
January 19, 2015 07:38AM
The first back to back Super Bowl win was San Francisco 49'ers January 28, 1990.
Re: Seahawks

They were lucky seeing as they couldn't show up in the first half. I do think the OT rule for championships should be the same as for the regular season.

Watched the game with a bunch of Packer fans while blogging on the Trib. website. Missed Jay! and felt more than a bit of compassion for the Green Bay fans. Given how badly our offense played in the 1st and 3rd quarters was surprised to see all stats but TOP in our favor, I think.

At the end of the game, we were all just stunned!

...of course, after that everyone then switched from beer to tequila for obvious reasons...

Go Hawks

Not quite. Green Bay won the first two SB's 67 and 68. Then Miami did it 73 & 74, Pittsburgh in 76 & 76 and then again n 79 & 80 (only team to do it twice)

The last back to back wins was Patriots in season 2004.

The overtice rules for playoffs is the same as the regular season except there can be no tie so they keep going until someone scores.
