Volcanic exhalation Jan 19th, 2015

What a wonderful day, we started later than we normally do, but I think there was a reason for this.

We were able to experience another Volcanic exhalation from Volcan de Fuego in Comala, Colima "Time to get camara out again"

Visiting an old hacienda coffee plantations, coffee factory, a volcano caldera and of course the main event the volcano.

Huge Plumes of Ash Soar Towards the Skies as Volcano Erupts in Mexico.


On the morning of Wednesday January 21, Mexico’s Colima volcano exploded, sending over 4km of ash into the air. Over five minutes of dramatic natural activity is condensed into this time-lapse recording, which documents the rush of huge plumes towards the skies in an otherwise calm environment.

You got to love the media!

Now that we have a web cam on the volcano it will be more and more on the news.

I recently attended a meeting with a couple of vulcanologyst and they told us that the volcano has had half of the activity it had back in 2004.

So imagine you were here back then and it was going more than now.

I was there back then. The volcano blew so strongly that it rained ashes in Barra.

Just to clarify that it was back in 2004 because this year the ash has blown towards Mazamitla and Tamazula towards Michoacan.
