We will start posting activities that will be going on in the Colima - Comala area.

Place: Comala Downtown main square
Date: September 21st, 2013
Activity: Independence celebration
Info: Starting at 8:00pm the folkloric ballet will perform. We will have the indigenous dancers of Suchitlan with the traditional wooden masks perform a traditional dance. At 10:30pm the Mariachi of Tecalitlan will play until 11:30pm, then the Mayor of Comala will lead the "Grito de Independencia", followed by more Mariachi music, and at half past midnight the traditional "Castillo" fireworks display.

Info: At 8:30am the local schools will be part of our independence parade that goes through the main streets of Comala. At 4:30pm there will be a running race in the Comala surroundings. After the race there will be the traditional "Palo encebado" a pole that is covered in lard, anyone can go and try to climb it at the very top there are many prizes if you can reach them they are yours!
