What should I expect to pay for a taxi from PV airport to Melaque?

I believe this years rate is $1750 pesos for a taxi from PV to Melaque.

In October I took a taxi to the bus station, and the driver offered to take my wife and I to Melaque for 100$ USD,

OK. It is over 200km each way, and takes me four hours each way to drive.
I do not hang around.
What is reasonable for an over 400km 8 hour trip?

I have friends taking a cab (2 persons) Thursday to P.V. and the cost was M$1700.
