La Manzanilla Crocodiles.

We are planning another trip to the area and are wondering if there has been progress on the crocodile walkway in La Manzanilla? We were there last winter and we could only see a couple from the road. Thanks in advance. Neil and Gail.

Neil/Gail, The walkway does a complete circuit through the mangroves. They have you go to the right to begin the tour. You see a number of crocs right at the beginning. Unfortunately you don't see many crocs after that until the end. There are a good assortment of birds though. Near the end they still have the 'building' where they keep a few crocs and some hatchlings. After that, you go across the swinging walkway and go back towards the entrance/exit. This is where you see most of the crocs. It is still worth the 20 pesos. I think that was what it cost last spring. Cheers, Dave.

Dave.
Thank You for the reply. You are very generous with the info. We are also bird people, and are looking forward to seeing all that is there for the month of January. Safe Travels.

Biggest bang for the 20 pesos is the hanging bridge

on Mondays for lunch? Seems many are closed that I am aware of.
Thank you.

Here's a pic of said bridge.

They also have a crocodile "farm" at the top where they raise them.
