Brownsville to Georgetown October 2014

Weather and Flight Plan

The sky was overcast and the weather was wet. I filed an IFR plan direct to CRP then direct to Georgetown at 6000' for 2 hours and 15 minutes.

The Flight

Takeoff: 5:55 pm   Landing: 7:56 pm   Duration: 2 hours 1 minute

I filed for 6000' even though I was told this would be in the clouds for the latter part of the trip. Instrument time was 1 hour. Although I had filed direct CRP for the first led of the trip, I was quickly given direct GTU so I might was well file that in the future. It was night time and we were in and out of the clouds. Not much turbulence or rain.

At Georgetown

We refueled and returned to the hanger. Total time on the plane for the trip was 15.7 hours.
