 The malecón is situated at the end of the Barra de Navidad peninsula. At left is the peninsula, left foreground is Bahía de Navidad, left background is Laguna Navidad, at right is the channel connecting the lagoon to the bay. Also at right is the Hotel Grand Bay. The area at left is used for surfing and the waves are usually gentle enough for beginners. |

 A yacht passes through the channel next to the malecón. My friend, Allan Karr, tells me that when you purchase a boat this nice, the pretty girls on the deck come with it. |
