The Cedar Park Splash Jam is an annual event sponsored by the City of Cedar Park, marking the celebration of labor day, the end of summer and the closing of the swimming pool at the park. The tradition began about 2004 when the July 4th Festival was rained out and the City was left with an unused cache of fireworks. The solution was to hold another festival around labor day and set off the fireworks at that time. The event has continued to be held annually since.
Admission to Splash Jam and the musical performance is free but there are fees associated with some activities. The event kicks off with a washer tournament at 4 pm with the rest of the event starting at 5 pm. The festival features live music, inflatables, and a fireworks display. Fees apply for face painting, food concessions, mechanical bull, carnival games, hamster balls, quad jump, super slide, rock wall, caricatures and spinner ride. See Flyer.
