I suspect the crocodiles feel they were there first, as they were right down the beach towards Boca until the development there denied them access.by por Howard - La Manzanilla - Tenacatita - Boca de Iguanas
It was 2007 in La Manzanilla. Tourists loved being close to the wildlife. I think this was far too close! What do you think?by por Howard - La Manzanilla - Tenacatita - Boca de Iguanas
If you like House Finch, now is the time to visit the central bus station in Colima. They are nest building, singing, and rushing around like crazy. This one, of course, is male.by por Howard - Colima - Comala
If this goes on for months, as it might, Mexico might become more popular. Quote from todays news. A huge ash cloud from an Icelandic volcano turned the skies of northern Europe into a no-fly zone on Thursday, stranding hundreds of thousands of passengers. The European air safety organization said the disruption, the biggest seen in the region, could last another two days and a leading volcby por Howard - Off-Topic Forum

I thought that if the US State Department warnings about travel to Mexico were to be put in perspective then the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office's warning about travel to the USA might help. Here is an extract from their current web pages: Safety and security Terrorism The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has designated the terror alert status of "orange"by por Howard - Off-Topic Forum

Looks like two problems. First is that you are missing the ] after the first Second, it does not look like a photo file. I would expect it to end in something like .jpgby por Howard - Test Forum
Today we drove up into the cloud forest above Minatitlan. We did not measure, but the road is supposed to go up to about nine thousand feet above sea level. Near the top this little guy was anxious to show off for my camera, perching close then spreading his wing and tail feathers in display. Definitely worth the drive! On my computer screen the image is a little larger than life size.by por Howard - Colima - Comala

OK Tom, time to stop teasing. What are the coordinates of this structure? Looks rather like a radio telescope under construction, but I would like to know what it really is.by por Howard - La Manzanilla - Tenacatita - Boca de Iguanas

I cannot compete with the aerial views, but here is a long distance shot from this morning. It stopped briefly on the overpass where the free road joins the toll road just outside Armeria and took this shot - about 72kms from the nearest volcano according to Google earth. sorry Jupiter - a little too far to make out the birds!by por Howard - Colima - Comala

Hi Rod and Cheri: Thanks for your help. When I try to send a private message the "message" part does not get through. It is not even saved as part of the message in my sent message folder. I have rebooted my machine but it has not helped. I will have to ask Tom. Also for Cheri, I have no experience as a wedding photographer. There is an old guy running a photo shop in the jardiby por Howard - Off-Topic Forum
Something has gone really strange with my private messages. I can't send - I try to but the message is lost and only "envelope" arrives. And my sent message folder is empty. Very odd. Is this happening to anyone else?by por Howard - Off-Topic Forum
There is a fixed (high) rate from the airport - sorry i have forgotten how much they ask. I have walked it with luggage on wheels in 40 minutes (when i had a lot of time to kill). Across the street from the airport taxis will ask around $80 but accept $50 for the less than five minute ride.by por Howard - Puerto Vallarta
The picture has to be out on the web somewhere - like Picasa. Then you "point" to it in your post. For example, this the the address of one of my photos in Picasa. If you take that address and surround it by with NO SPACES then you should be able to preview the posting and see the image.by por Howard - Test Forum
