dryhouse, why don't you list some of the many failings you admit to having. That might make for an interesting edition of the "funny papers."by por paul falduto - Off-Topic Forum
That's funny, my roommate says the same thing, only he reverses the order, which makes it much more insulting, You can't even get an insult right. Maybe it is time for you to just hang it up.by por paul falduto - Off-Topic Forum
Finally Lamar,on one thing I can agree with you: I am smarter than you. The rest of what you say is your typical horse manure. Maybe you and L.T. can get together and spread some it around, you both generate enough of it to supply every garden on the coast.by por paul falduto - Off-Topic Forum
Your post was highly misleading. Many folks would read it and believe Frank said it, not someone else. And very very few people on Martin's side have made such a statement. In a country of 300 million you are bound to find someone who has said just about anything. If I wanted to, I could cherry-pick outrageous statements made by Zimmerman's defenders too and make it appear you said and/by por paul falduto - Off-Topic Forum
Boy oh boy, here I thought L.T. made dishonest posts, but you put him to shame. Frank made a tasteless joke, I agree, but where did he say Martin was "hunted down like a wild dog and shot in the streets?"by por paul falduto - Off-Topic Forum
Lamar, why should he have had "bravado?" He wasn't taunting the dead or making fun of them or disrespecting them in any way, no matter what the unhinged hysterical right wing is saying. He was making a statement about using a word accurately and obviously was sensitive to what he was saying. I am sorry to see he felt the need to apologize, but I guess that is the reality when you aby por paul falduto - Off-Topic Forum
I certainly DO have my own ideas on this subject and that is that "hero" is used far too often. A hero has to do something heroic. Being killed on the battlefield doesn't necessarily make one a hero. It may make his or her sacrifice noble (a word Hayes used later in the broadcast) and certainly makes it worth honoring and remembering, and also worth supporting, such as making sureby por paul falduto - Off-Topic Forum
Once again, L.T. gives us his version of a story and it is not what really happened. Hayes comments, agree with them or not, are much more nuanced. Of course, nuance means nothing to Loony Tunes, he's just ready to blow away anyone who doesn't toe the L.T. line. Anyway, here is the quote that has Loony up in arms: "I think it's interesting because I think it is very difficuby por paul falduto - Off-Topic Forum
As usual, there is much more to L.T.'s "outrage de jour" than he posts. Here, as the late Paul Harvey used to say, is "the rest of the story."by por paul falduto - Off-Topic Forum
Not all profiling is racial. Zimmerman appears to have profiled Martin based on age and style of dress, at least that is what Sanford police said. And interesting to see that several witnesses have altered their testimony, none to the advantage of Zimmerman.by por paul falduto - Off-Topic Forum
Since L.T. is always posting that we should google this or that, so I thought I would post a few things he WOULD NOT want you to google.... Maybe I'll make this a regular series similar to L.T. highly selective "outrage de jour"....by por paul falduto - Off-Topic Forum
Gee, Phanrkfurter, could the fact I do not say these things to his face have something to do with the fact that he is in Puerto Escondido and I am in North Carolina? And when I do come to Mexico I am nowhere near Puerto Escondido and have no plans to go there, L.T. or no L.T.? And could you not also ask why L.T. does not have the guts to say the things he says about me to my face? He isn'tby por paul falduto - Off-Topic Forum
Once again crybaby L.T. wants us to feel sorry for him because he seems to believe that the moderators and others here who don't think very much of him want to take away his "First Amendment rights." Sorry Mr. Professional Victim, but you apparently have no idea that the First Amendment doesn't apply on a privately-owned website. Yes, you certainly have the right to spew yourby por paul falduto - Off-Topic Forum
klasp, you are expecting logic and consistency from L.T.? Just another of his very selective "outrages de jour." He's not know as "Loony Tunes" for nothing you know.by por paul falduto - Off-Topic Forum
As far as I know, this confusion started with buzzardwest, butt I could be wrong...... On another note, why are recent posts, such as this one, showing a time 4 hours from now?by por paul falduto - Off-Topic Forum
I see Loony Tunes is talking to himself again.by por paul falduto - Off-Topic Forum
My roommate, the snake lover, says D&D is correct, ti is a corn snake, he has one as a pet (he also has a rat snake). It is as harmless as can be, although I wouldn't want it crawling on me!by por paul falduto - Off-Topic Forum
Great musician and a great man too. A real "mensch." Listening to The Band with Dylan at Isle of Wight, 1969 as I type this.by por paul falduto - Off-Topic Forum
Well, L.T., you will likely get your wish and Zimmerman will be set free under the stand your ground law. The best thing I think can happen from this is that such laws will be repealed. It won't bring back Trayvon Martin, but some good may come of this tragedy if these laws are repealed. i do think a change of venue is appropriate here too, I want to see Zimmerman have a fair trial. This isby por paul falduto - Off-Topic Forum
Let me in add that in no way do I think Zimmerman intended to shoot Martin or did so because of racial reasons. It was almost certainly an accident. But still, he was the one who was armed and his gun killed a person, so he is responsible in some way. Whether that equates to second-degree murder, I don't know. Sounds more like manslaughter to me. Zimmerman had the right to carry that gunby por paul falduto - Off-Topic Forum
Oh gee, Zimmerman stated he was attacked by Martin! I wonder what Martin has to say about that! Oh, that's right, he's dead, so he isn't likely to say much, I guess. Let's review here: Zimmerman, a self-appointed neighborhood patroller (there was no official neighborhood watch in his neighborhood), saw someone he thought was "suspicious" apparently because of hisby por paul falduto - Off-Topic Forum
No argument from me on that. The jury has to decide the case based on the law as it is, not as they would like it to be. Hopefully this case will serve as a catalyst for repeal of this so-called "stand your ground" law, foisted upon Florida by the noxious NRA and rammed through by their craven minions in the legislature.by por paul falduto - Off-Topic Forum
He may indeed be "not guilty" under Florida law, but that doesn't mean he is innocent.by por paul falduto - Off-Topic Forum
I just saw Bill Cosby on CNN and he said something I agree with 100% and have said myself since the this tragic shooting happened: this is not a race issue, it is a gun issue. It is simply too easy not only to get a handgun, but to use it with impunity. Under Florida law, all Zimmerman has to prove is that he "felt threatened" by Martin and he gets off scott free, which is likely to hapby por paul falduto - Off-Topic Forum
L.T. has kids? Boy I feel sorry for them to be raised by such a hater. And I sure wouldn't spend any of my money in any place owned by him. Maybe others feel that way too, which is why he is so afraid to use his name here.by por paul falduto - Off-Topic Forum
I understand, Phrankfurter and I don't disagree, but you did ask where is the evidence Zimmerman pursued Martin. If Zimmerman had not pursued him, why the confrontation at all? Perhaps he was returning to his car, but first he had to pursue and confront Martin, that is obvious. But once again, I am not pronouncing Zimmerman guilty, that is for the jury to decide. As for L.T., well what cby por paul falduto - Off-Topic Forum
It is amazing to me how you both can turn this around and make Martin, the unarmed man, the aggressor and Zimmerman, the armed man, the victim. Just amazing. Talk about living in an alternate reality.by por paul falduto - Off-Topic Forum
Because Martin did some silly juvenile bragging on a Facebook page means he deserved to die? And why do you put "LOL" at the end of your posts about this tragedy? One person is dead and another might spend the rest of his life in prison and you are "laughing out loud?" And by the way, I have not pre-judged Zimmerman, he may in fact be not guilty of second degree murder, I don&by por paul falduto - Off-Topic Forum
