Drift is back! What border are you heading to? Just back from 3 weeks in Indo visiting my son. The waves were insanely good,my son and his two friends were almost surfed out, which I have never seen. Proces cheap, but the entire place was polluted beyond beleif, except the very southern tip of Bali. They all agree they like Puerto better, not so much the waves, but the food and transport.by • por njscott63 - San José del Pacifico
Where you been Drift? Roca Blanca was great, took the bus there every morning. Fast barrels, super long rides. Didnt seem sketchy at all, maybe a bit up in the mercado. I did pull into a local beach the day I had a rental car, and a guy came out with a shotgun. The people are scared, you can tell. El Tunco is on the way up, and the wave out front, not Sunzal, but the river mouth, broke all day wiby • por njscott63 - San José del Pacifico
Just back from El Salvador! Punta Roca is the real deal.My son ripped off quarter mile, fast, too many turns to count wave after wave.Very shallow, gliding over rocks. We statyed a few minutes up the coast, and the wave in front, La Bocana, was a peaky rivermouth with lefts and rights. Well overhead, not bad for November. No crowds, except in KM 59 and El Zonte. Even Punta Roca wasnt crowded.by • por njscott63 - San José del Pacifico
I have also been moved by the tremendous warmth of the Mexican people, again and again.I am offering my services to my many neighbors who will soon be deported. Not to the first wave, the 2-3 million criminals who will be immediately deported, to those I will wave bye.But as Trump said, once those are gone, we can look at the rest. Those with a wife and kid in mexico, here only working and sendinby • por njscott63 - Off-Topic Forum
No comparison to PE. I thought SJdS was a bit grimy, and a nasty beach. $5 RT shuttles to Playa Maderas or Hermosa to surf. The nightlife was fun.Waves were good at Hermosa, a really beautiful beach.Better was Playa Gigante a bit North. Absolutely stunning, if a bit undeveloped. Walking distance to Playa Colorado to surf. Nica blows away CR, much cheaper, and less ladrones. Its a great place to vby • por njscott63 - Off-Topic Forum
My vote would be San Augustinillo, with a stop at the Mazunte turtle museum for kids. Nice beach with calm surf for the kids, the parents can sit at one of the restaurants a few steps awayby • por njscott63 - Zipolite - Mazunte - Agustinillo - Ventanilla
Little Monmouth Beach, New Jersey, population 2,300, now has an NFL head coach and MLB manager. John Farrell of the Toronto Blue Jays and Jason Garrett of the Dallas Cowboys. Way to go guys, I wish the first well and the latter nothing but failureby • por njscott63 - Off-Topic Forum

The train doesnt run anymore, it was the original jungle train from San Jose to the Limon. We were lucky, it only rained at the end, and not too hard, but in the Caribean it can rain any time. Not so on the Pacific, same weather as Puerto except south of Jaco, it gets a little more tropical. Puerto Viejo is in the jungle, its thick. This trip I saw a lot less wildlife, but we surfed more and itsby • por njscott63 - Off-Topic Forum

Puerto Viejo on the Caribean side, south of Limon. I was there again last year, and absolutely love it. Its about a 5 hour bus ride from the capital. It kind of reminds a little of Puerto before it grew up. The town is small, my then 14 year old boy was able to walk around at will. We rent bikes, which works fine. To the south are a string of fabulous beaches that end at a national park. To theby • por njscott63 - Off-Topic Forum
Since the Giants are the underdog and an NL team, and after watching the NY Giants whip on a Texas team last night, I will have to pick the Giants. But since they abondoned NY, I will root for Texasby • por njscott63 - Off-Topic Forum
I dont think we have much to worry about based on the TSA's recent track record. The underwear bomber made it through no problem, and that Times Square nut boarded without problem. Watch them nab the first guy that complained about his meal.by • por njscott63 - Off-Topic Forum
