Shannonj,

I read your article on Puerto Angel. I find it very misleading.
People who are planning to go should have a much more realistic idea of what to expect.
It's primarily a small fishing village.
Most of the places and activities you describe are not in Puerto Angel, but in the nearby towns of Mazunte, Zipolite and San Agustinillo, or much further away.
You cannot surf at Playa Principal. It's a bay, which means no big waves. And lined with small fishing boats, not rentable beach chairs and umbrellas. Playa Panteon is more like what you've descibed.
I love Puerto Angel, and have lived there off and on for 45 years.
I'm sure your heart is in the right place, but maybe time for you to take an in-person visit?
I'm not trying to be negative in any way, just realistic!
