US airport security derided by Euros / Party of the Rich hires illegals and deports yours

Not so fast with snatching away American liberties:

"Requiring Arizona law enforcement officials and agencies to determine the immigration status of every person who is arrested burdens lawfully-present aliens because their liberty will be restricted while their status is checked," U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton, a Clinton appointee, said in her decision.

She said the controversial sections should be put on hold until the courts resolve the issues. Other provisions of the law, many of them procedural and slight revisions to existing Arizona immigration statute, will go into effect at 12:01 a.m. Thursday.

Instead they will attack the illegal immigrants another way before asking for legal residency.
Plan 1: Cars will be strategically parked placed around health care facilities, child prostitution houses, crack houses, van shuttle businesses, parcel companies and known illegal employer businesses. Cars that are parked will be put into reverse, all the people that run to stand behind the car with the white back up lights and are hit will be questioned. If they cannot provide I.D.'s they will be arrested for obstructing traffic.
Plan 2: In jails, trash cans will be strategically placed next to toilets. Anyone incarcerated who saves their poop paper will be asked for migratory documents.

The decision has been made, twenty other states want to follow Arizona. In law or on the streets it is already in the works and the judge who made the decision is getting ready for retirement anyways..... nice big bag of money.

indocumentados = profit potential for some Arizona politicians:

...the bill’s promoters are as equally dedicated to border politics as they are to promoting the fortunes of private prison companies, like Corrections Corporation of America (CCA) and Geo Group, which stand to reap substantial profits as more undocumented residents end up in jail....

Failed state of Arizona?
Arizona's governor screws up in debate, lies about her past statements, then spits on the whole darn democratic notion cuz she only wants the money honey:

If at first you awkwardly stumble through your opening statement, why bother trying again?

Gov. Jan Brewer (R) has put the kibosh on all future debates with her Arizona gubernatorial opponent Terry Goddard (D), after her rather embarrassing display at Wednesday's debate. "I don't believe that things come out in proper context in an adversarial atmosphere," she defended herself.

According to the Arizona Daily Star, Brewer says she only partook in the debate to try qualify for the $1.7 million-plus public funds for her campaign.

according to another source, because a news station is investigating the ties between her advisors and the privately owned prisons who stand to gain money from SB1070, she's pulled her ads from the channel.

My error Paul/Nadamas I was talking about the illegal worker in the pizza joint in front of your place. Does that not scare the people? Great vantage point for looking for transients or people who would not be missed if they disappeared. I hope no more tours behind Puerto's hillside. What were they going to do with the people if they did pull off that mass kidnapping?
You have some pretty screwed up friends according to the us agencies.
California illegal housekeeper blues
September 29, 2010 10:03PM
Pissed off housekeeper squeals, another Republican caught en flagrante. Evidently meg Whitman is asking the law to crack down on her. Arrest that woman.

Meg Whitman, the Republican candidate for governor of California, looked the other way for years while employing an illegal immigrant as a housekeeper, a prominent California attorney representing the housekeeper alleged Thursday.

The claim comes at an inconvenient time for Whitman, who is fighting Democrat Jerry Brown for the governorship of California and who just yesterday called for a crackdown on employers hiring illegal immigrants.

Some political observers say the housekeeper's revelation is a signal of the anger of some in the Latino community towards Republicans in the wake of Arizona's anti-immigrant law.

At a press conference in Sacramento Thursday, former Whitman housekeeper Nicky Diaz Santillan said she was treated like "garbage" during the nine years she worked in the Whitman household, from 2000 to 2009. She says she was paid for 15 hours per week while working longer than those hours, was threatened with being fired when she became pregnant, and was finally fired when she asked Whitman for help in securing legal status for herself, reports the Los Angeles Times...

A vote 'represents' what people think. It's more like that a YES vote would EXPOSE hypocrisy in US drug policy. Ironic that Calderon talks as though Mexican society isn't already torn apart, the tool of same.

TIJUANA, Mexico β€” President Felipe Calderon said Thursday that a California ballot measure to legalize marijuana represents hypocrisy in U.S. drug policy for encouraging consumption while at the same time demanding that Mexico and other countries crack down on drug trafficking.

"For me, it reflects a terrible inconsistency in government policies in the United States," the Mexican leader said late Thursday in an interview with The Associated Press.

California voters will decide on Nov. 2 whether to allow possession of up to 1 ounce of marijuana. Proposition 19 would also clear the way for local governments to permit retail sales of pot.

Calderon said he was certain that legalizing marijuana will lead to an increase in drug consumption.

"It's very sad to see how drug consumption is, little by little, tearing apart American society and, if we don't watch ourselves, it will tear apart ours," the president said.

Party of Scare fakes it again:

Republicans’ β€˜scary’ immigrant photo depicts Mexicans in Mexico, photographer reveals

By Stephen C. Webster
Sunday, October 10th, 2010 -- 8:25 pm

A photograph that has appeared in two high-profile Republican campaign commercials, used in both cases to depict what some have called "scary" illegal immigrants, is actually a photo taken in Mexico, depicting three Mexican farmers whose crops were destroyed, a British photojournalist has revealed.

And he isn't exactly happy to see his work reproduced in such a manner.

The photo, which was available through Getty Images, carries a caption describing the men as "Mexican citizens photographed in their own country," explained photographer Chris Floyd, in an update to his blog.

In spite of this, Republicans Sharon Angle, a Senate candidate from Nevada, and Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) have both featured the image in advertisements castigating alleged support of illegal immigrants by their political opponents.

"The fact that these men were Mexican citizens photographed in Mexico kind of negates their claims," the photographer wrote.
airport security overkill

US airport security goes too far and is often redundant say European officials:

[abcnews.go.com]

...British Airways' chairman made the first in a wave of complaints, saying in a speech to airport operators that removing shoes and taking laptops out of bags were "completely redundant" measures demanded by the U.S.

He was joined less than 24 hours later by British pilots, the owner of Heathrow airport, other European airlines, and the European Union. The EU submitted formal objections to a program that requires U.S.-bound travelers from 35 nations to complete online security clearance before departure. It called the system burdensome and said it could violate travelers' privacy.

The EU said the U.S. Electronic System for Travel Authorization would process some 13 million registrations from Europeans in 2009 alone. The program applies to Europeans who don't need visas to travel to the U.S.

The EU said it was "inconsistent with the often repeated commitment by the U.S. to facilitate trans-Atlantic mobility and legitimate travel and trade in a secure environment."

British Airways chairman Martin Broughton told the annual conference of the U.K. Airport Operators Association that measures like separate examinations of shoes and laptops appeared to be unnecessary and were inconsistently applied in different airports.

"America does not do internally a lot of the things they demand that we do," Broughton said, calling on British authorities not to "kowtow to the Americans every time they wanted something done."

"We shouldn't stand for that. We should say, 'We'll only do things which we consider to be essential and that you Americans also consider essential,'" the Financial Times quoted him as saying. BA confirmed that the report was accurate.

Is TSA a federal agency or not? this Bush era hypocrisy has gotta stop.

Ninth Circuit strikes down Arizona voter registration law

10/28/2010 - 15:09. A three-judge panel for the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit on Oct. 25 struck down a portion of an Arizona law requiring proof of citizenship for voter registration. The court held that the law, Proposition 200, was inconsistent with the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA), which was passed with the intent of increasing voter registration and removing barriers to registration imposed by the states. The NVRA requires voters to attest to the validity of the information on their registration form, including their citizenship, but does not require them to provide additional proof of citizenship. Proposition 200 went beyond the federal statute, requiring applicants to show proof of citizenship before registering to vote.
