Living in the USA, and visiting the Pacific coast on occasions, I read about the turmoil in Mexico City and how things there, from a traffic standpoint, and then from a business standpoint., due to the teachers strike. What kind of education do children receive in the Puerto Escondido/Huatulco area as compared to what US children receive? Are Mexican children really learning anything and if they are, what level would, lets say a 6th grade education, be compared to a US grade level? I guess what I am saying is, would a Mexican child with a 6th grade level of education be on par with a 6th grade education here in the States. or would it be less than what a US child gets?
