So, my oak barrel planters finally fell apart. Knowing a woman that works in the distillery here, I ask if she can get me an oak barrel. The distillery won't sell them publicly.
$20 later I get the barrel home and there seems to be some liquid still in the sealed barrel. I siphon off 3 twenty sixes and 1 forty ounce of alcohol (rye). Ran the liquid through a couple of coffee filters a few times. I guess that's why I am moving a little slower today!
The neighbor tells me to add about 1 gallon of boiling water and turn the barrel a bit each day and I will get more booze that they call swish.
I guess the planters will have to wait!
