Through my Bank of American VISA debit, I get free ATM withdrawals at Santander and Scotiabank here in Guadalajara. I pay no fee to the local banks nor to BoA, so I get the best rate, as far as I can tell. When I withdrew cash on 12/27, I got 13.77 pesos to the dollar. Today I got 13.18, a 4.3% decrease. According to today's edition of "El Financiero," the peso is up almost 6% against the dollar in the last year. By the way, I just posted this as an interesting aside; no complaints from me, Mexico is still a bargain for the tourist.
