HOLA all ye Canucks ....thirsting for the nectar of the maple tree on your pancakes? Shopping at the Costco here in Toluca I noticed gallon (946ml) bottles of CANADIAN Maple syrup on sale... price about the same as back home.
Now you don't have to smuggle your tins of suspect maple syrup past those snarly CBS guards who root through luggage looking for whatever ... I've yet to hear of an airplane being brought down by a tin of Canadian maple syrup... but I lost mine last trip.
One caveat... Costco are famous for stocking stuff one day because they got a helluva buy on 100 pallets of the stuff... then you never see it again... hopefully the Toluca experience is not a 1 off.
