The USA defeated Sweden 3-1 to win the 2013 IIHF championship. Canada did not make it to the consolation game. FYI

I stand corrected, Canada did make it to the bronze metal game, they were defeated by Russia and finished in 4th place.

In the semi final game, the USA defeated Canada 5-1 to advance to the gold metal game.
