There are several other places as well. On the way into the beach area, there are two restaurants -- Mayhuel (or something like that) which has wonderful soups and pretty good other stuff and a fish restaurant (located next to the laundry on your left, just beyond the second dip in the road). The chef is the former chef at Blue Bay and does super breakfasts and fabulous fish (the cilantro sauce is to die for, though ask for a bit less salt than usual). Once you hit the main beach drag, on your right -- Figaro's owned by Italians with a pizza oven is excellent. Immediately across the street is a place with a sign that says pizza. Never tried that but the Mexican food is delicious. Upstairs is Bobby's Bar which has the best 10 peso beers in town and is where we play bridge on Wed and Fridays at 1 pm -- games are open to all. We even teach people how to play. Quetzal isn't bad -- has super shrimp and cheese chile rellenos a couple times of week -- and, in a private home at the other end of (I think) Boca Rio from Casa Maguey (a super place to stay) is a private home where they serve fabulous chile nogada on Wed night...you can tell I don't cook, right!!!
