Tenacatita

I went to Tenacatita today after a wonderful sulphur hot bath at Aquacalientes. Anyway . I stopped at the little dry camp spot one click from the beach and talked to a Gringo Chile who has following news.
1.Today 31 Dec the military came in and disarmed the Auxiliary Police.
2. He says that he hopes to move into his palapa spot in undisputed area tomorrow.
3. The free beach will be open.
4. I do not know the difference between the disputed area and non disputed but it sounds like the road will be open to go down to end of beach.
5. There is a facebook page on Tenacatita and Chile will post once he gets settled and comes into Melaque for supplies.

There were quite a few on the beach, but I did not notice anything different from the time I went there last week for a swim.

What is a "palapa spot" ..... did he have a restaurant before?

Disputed/non-disputed area:
Villalobos claimed to own 42 ha, but occupied/emptied about 60 or so....Those that were outside the claimed 42 seemed to have gotten their rights granted by the courts, but were not allowed in to access their properties.
