Hwy 175 from Coast to Oaxaca City

I have an appointment in Oaxaca City on Thursday. Does anyone know the condition of Hwy 175 from the coast to Oaxaca? Thanks in advance.

what a wiseguy. i didn't get even close to san jose of the mind last trip.

so i went to nyc and stayed at a nice hotel in mid-town overlooking the port authority parking lot on the roof which got covered with snow. it was only a couple of blocks to the superlocked up for presidents day but i meet my bud's wife at the frieght entrance where everone knew everyone but me.

she has since moved into the ins of art biz but she is still tight with these people. the jade specialist out of hong kong was everything a fantasy needs. 35 beautiful and totally knowlegeable. she said it was old but not worth the auction she was putting together. it was old and she liked the setting and the paperwork seemed in order.it could bring $8000 at auction or less. maybe 5 who knows or cares she says keep it. well thanks and out on the street.

lucky swa would change my flight to an earlier one to san diego because a blizzard was coming to chicago where i was due to change planes. the sun was going down when i hit san diego.

so it looks rainy so it mu st be raining. the road is taking a beating. I wish I needed to know the up to date

Some friends of mine were going to San Jose Pacifico this weekend, and they said that some locals had put up a road block outside the tow and that they stated that they were going to be there for 20 days. Does anyone know if the road is open? Can't imagine the government would allow it to be closed like this for long.

Especially since June and July are the season for fiestas de los hongos...

We just returned from Oaxaca City and there is a road block south of San Jose. They aren't letting anyone through however there is a lengthy way around on a rough mountain track. We thought our car wouldn't make it but we did.

I've done that road before without really knowing if it actually ended up on the coast. Quite the exciting/terrifying journey :p We also didn't think the car would make it, but we did survive.

Question; the busses seem to still go to Oaxaca, do they go that route now?

we need an update on road conditions. they are always talking about it on puerto site.

i have been assured of van and bus service from pochutla.

recent torrential 2/12/18 assure hongos and muddy, bumpy roads.

A friend in San Jose Pacifico says the blockage is in week three.

Limited groceries.

Torrential rains.

He's forced to travel 35km on 175 to Miahuatlan for groceries and ATM. Says he counted 15+ landslides down the hill, boulders, telegraph poles, trees, hillside slip outs and more.
