The Meaning of Parota

The "parota" is an endemic tree, which grows abundantly in median jungles and along the banks of riverbeds in tropical zones like ours all the way from Mexico to Brazil. It can reach heights up to 30 meters and its trunk can measure up to 3 meters in diameter. Due to its characteristics, which traditionally make it resistant to humidity, the tree has been exploited for its excellent quality wood. In this area it is often used for the manufacture of furniture, frames, windows and doors. Walking on the streets of downtown Barra you may appreciate its use.

The "parota" being a very leafy tree, which grows fast, is usually planted by the farmers in the outskirts of the city, in order to offer shadow to the cattle especially during the summer. Its foliage has high contents of protein and is used as an additional source of food for the cattle.

The many written and verbal anecdotes provide a testimony that the "parota" tree has been a leading character in the lives of the people of Barra Navidad and its surroundings.

Restaurant: The restaurant is attached to the house but is located on the corner where many tourists pass by taking photos of the Parota tree and restaurant. The restaurant is two stories that can be divided with restaurant on top and bar or store on the first floor. The owner can lease both floors as a single business or separately as two businesses.

First Floor Bedroom 1: The first bedroom with private entry includes a full bathroom with shower and large closets.

Third Floor Suite: This suite includes a full kitchen and dining room seperate from the bedroom. The bedroom includes a bathroom with shower and bathtub, with king-sized bed and ample closet space.

Fourth Floor:
Patio/Bar: This floor is home to our private patio/bar that can accompany up to 20 guests with covered palapa style roof and open space for the beautiful views of the lagoon and surrounding areas.

The house is now attached to a legal bank trust that is common for owning property in Mexico. All documents and papers are registered and up to date.

The current owner can offer limited finance to approved buyers and terms can be discussed when you visit the property. Partnership possibilities are also in order for someone that may be interested in an investment partnership.
