The docile sea turtle can sometimes be caught by divers or snorkelers who are then taken for a swim.
"Last February I was In Puerto Angel, Oaxaca. I signed up for a snorkeling trip and Martino happened to be the driver. He dove overboard and brought us the Loggerhead turtle to look at. He then explained that the only calm way to hold onto it was by the shell without touching the skin on it's neck. He then released it!"
