Greetings Family and Friends:

Yes, still here and safe...so far. El Popo erupted last night around 7:25 PM and then again at 2:00 AM this morning. Didnīt sleep a wink and stayed glued to the tube. All of the villages up to 20km around Popo have been evacuated and shelters are set up here in Cholula. I am a little further out around 30km or so. Status remains at YELLOW for Cholula.

Have my backpack ready to go and contingency plan in case further emergency arises but not expecting it...just a precaution. The danger is exhilerating, adrenaline is high! Never expected this...what a vacation...huh!
