Bahías de Huatulco is a charming community in the southern state of Oaxaca, Mexico. Though little known to U.S. citizens, Bahías de Huatulco is a popular destination for Canadians, Europeans, and Mexico’s elite. It is emerging as an eco-friendly, green environment with 42,000 acres of preserved forest and features 9 bays & 36 beaches along the Pacific Coast, allowing visitors to enjoy pristine beaches and ocean waters, unspoiled views, and mountains, jungles and rivers. Nearby villages include Santa Cruz and La Crucecita. The bays are named Santa Cruz, Chahue, Tangolunda, Conejos, Chacahual, Cacaluta, San Agustin, El Organo and Maguey.
Because of Huatulco's close proximity to the state capital, Oaxaca (an economical, 30 minute flight by single-engine plane), as well as to the fabulous villages of Mitla, Monte Alban, Teotitlán, Yagul, Arbol De Tule and Juchitan, visitors are offered a diversity of cultures and activities ranging from beaches and spas to sports and dancing to modern museums and pre-Columbian archeological sites to galleries and gourmet delights to gay festivals and relaxation!
