Hi Tom: I took four Spanish lessons from Bonnie at Amiga's and was amazed at how well I could communicated during my three week stay in Barra and Melaque. I had some Spanish in high school, but am not good with languages, so was pretty concerned about paying a premium for what might be a bust. Instead, I whizzed through with Bonnie's clever techniques, loved not having to figure out conjugations while still being able to communicate easily. One of my favorite parts of the language instruction was Bonnie's introduction to Mexican slang, which broke the ice on a number of occasions. Be sure to ask her how to say, "What a mess!" It comes in handy when you bog down entirely.
